Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar College of Social Work was started in the year 1994-95. The College is recognized by Department of Social Justice and Special Assistance, Government of Maharashtra. It is affiliated to kavayitri Bahinabai Chaudhari North Maharashtra University and is recognized by UGC New Delhi. The College offers BSW and MSW courses, as well as Ph.D students are guided.

1. Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Rural and Urban Development Project:

Under this project, education, health and employment, self-employment awareness programs, health and legal camps, study classed, cloth bank etc. activities are implemented in the villages of Kundane (War), Udane. Contact: Prof. Rachna Adsule: 9820436006

2. Ramai Poli Bhaji Center:

Lunch is provided to the poor, needy and long distance students of the college for a nominal fee cost. At present, about 60 students are benefiting from the Center. 3.Research and Training Center:

The center has been set up for the purpose of conducting research projects and imparting training on Dalit, tribal and women's issues. The Center has so far undertaken a number of research projects / programs for which three projects have been sponsored by the Indian Institute of Social Research (ICSSR), New Delhi and one by the State Commission for Women (Government of Maharashtra). 4.Aadhar Project:

Aadhar Project for the Elderly has been initiated in collaboration with Jeevan Anand Sanstha, Mumbai. The objective of this project is to create awareness and sensitivity about the elderly in the society, to provide basic necessities to the elderly and to help them access government schemes and programmes.
